British Council - UK Film Festival 07

The relationship between books and images is more intriguing than many people imagine and it is this affiliation that is the theme of the UK Film Festival 2007, the title of which is “Reel Books”. The festival will present 14 feature-length adaptations of literary works from classic texts to contemporary novels and an author characterisation in Becoming Jane, one of our opening films. In this film, director Julian Jarrold details the youthful days of the classic British author Jane Austen, whose works have become paragons of English literature.
