Ione Rucquoi




Born Oxford 1975, Ione Rucquoi attended Goldsmiths College, University of London 1994-98, and gained a BA Hons Textiles First class degree. In the Fujifilm Distinctions Award 2006, Ione Rucquoi received two merits. Also in 2006 Ione Rucquoi won the Best Photograph Award at the Exeter Contemporary Open. Still in 2006, Ione Rucquoi was awarded £5000 grant by the Arts Council for the Birds, Fishwives and Bunnygirls project. Ione Rucquoi has been involved in research and development, engaging professional artists, students and members of the community on a creative level. In 2006/2007 Ione Rucquoi was artist-in-residence on a cruise ship visiting ports in Cambodia, Vietnam and China. Ione Rucquoi was also chosen out of 500 artists to take part in a pilot project set up by Devon ArtsCulture, The Devon Creatives.
